With the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh officially appearing, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday delivered another guide of India with 28 states and 9 Union Territories.
The new political guide comes two days after the territory of Jammu and Kashmir was formally bifurcated into the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh, in accordance with the August 5 declaration finishing the extraordinary status of the state under Article 370.On Friday, the Lieutenant Governors of the two UTs made the vow of office alongside the Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.

Last week, the Union government designated serving IAS official of Gujarat unit Girish Chandra Murmu as the LG of Jammu and Kashmir, and resigned administrator of Tripura framework Radha Krishna Mathur as LG of Ladakh.
