The biggest EdTech event of the year

In 2021, our goal was to create a global and multilingual virtual conference for teachers. We wanted to provide expert teachers with a platform to share good practices with other teachers around the world. The results were truly humbling. The Teacher Tech Summit 2021 became the largest online educational technology event of the year.

As a step towards knowledge sharing and capacity building of teacher, teacher educators and students on Educational Technology (ET) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) amidst the COVID-19 lockdown crisis in the country, CIET-NCERThas started organizing webinar and online training/workshops for students, teachers and teacher educators focusing on the use of ET and ICT in education. CDAC, MeitY, Mumbai in collaboration with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has developed Online Laboratories (OLABs) based on the idea that lab experiments can be taught using the Internet, more efficiently and less expensively. Para 24.4(f) of NEP-2020 states 'Virtual Labs: Existing e-learning platforms such as DIKSHA, SWAYAM and SWAYAM PRABHA will also be leveraged for creating virtual labs so that all students have equal access to quality practical and hands-on experiment-based learning experiences. The possibility of providing adequate access to SEDG students and teachers through suitable digital devices, such as tablets with pre-loaded content, will be considered and developed'. As an effort t o orient various stakeholders in the use of OLABs for virtual experimenting and exploring, a S-day online training is being conducted from December 27 - 31, 2021 on the topic 'Virtual Labs for Teaching and Learning' as part of the online training series. This online training will be live telecast on NCERT's official YouTube channel-

and also simulcast through PMeVidya DTH TV Channels number 1-12 at 4:00 'p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Participants will be required to complete the post session activity to get the certificate of participation.
